KooKu to provide Wi-Fi Access at the Chase Hotel

Lydbrook, Gloucestershire, 29 October 2003 - The Chase Hotel in Ross on Wye has become one of the first hotels in Herefordshire to be wi-fi enabled using the KooKu network. The installation at the Chase Hotel is based on the 802.11 wireless networking standard protocol and encompasses access points in the bar and in the Garden Room.

This service allows guests to access the internet, email and online services at broadband speeds, without a phone line connection. The Chase Hotel will provide their guest with MicroAPs, a driver free installation device replacing a wireless card, allowing guests without Wi-Fi enabled laptops to access the service - a cost effective and easy to use solution.

Colin Parcell, General Manager at the Chase Hotel, explained, "This service will provide our guests with instant plug and play wireless internet access allowing them to work away from the office whilst enjoying the comfort of the hotel."

Venues using the KooKu network are presented with a sales pack containing the KooKu cards customised with their logo, point of sale material, user guides, staff training and after sales support.
